Automotive repair industry shop cabinetry producer Shure Manufacturing’s customization was its main selling point – but also its main problem with distributors. Since no two shop installations by Shure are the same, their distributors were forced to use paper and pencil in writing out each new quote request. E-Merge Interactive solved the problem with an online catalog that included an interactive product configurator. This allowed the buyer to describe everything from bay length to color choice and easily build their customized installation. When finished, the request for quote was sent directly to Shure’s factory, where the quote was developed and sent back to the distributor.
